Split PDF

Split by page range, pick pages, or break every N pages. Runs on your device, nothing is uploaded.

How to use Split PDF

  1. 01Drop a PDF onto the upload area. A thumbnail of every page appears.
  2. 02Choose how to split: by ranges like 1-3, 5, 8-10, by clicking the pages you want, or every N pages.
  3. 03Check the coloured outlines: each colour is one output file.
  4. 04Click Split PDF. One file downloads as a PDF; several come as a ZIP.

A portal asks for just your mark sheet, but it's page 4 of a 20-page scan. A client needs chapter two, not the whole report. Splitting a PDF is the everyday fix, and it shouldn't mean uploading the whole document to a stranger's server to get one page back.

This tool opens the PDF in your browser, shows every page so you can see exactly what you're cutting, and copies the pages you choose into new PDFs with pdf-lib. Pages are copied as they are, so text stays selectable and nothing is re-compressed or blurred.

Ranges can be written the way you'd say them: 1-3, 5, 8-10, or 8- for page 8 to the end. Tick Merge all ranges to get those pages in a single PDF instead of one file per range.

Questions

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The file is read and split inside your browser tab and nothing is sent to a server.

How do I extract just one page?

Choose Pick pages and click that page, or type its number under Split by ranges. You'll get a single PDF with only that page.

How do I save every page as a separate PDF?

Choose Every N pages and leave it at 1. Every page becomes its own PDF, all bundled in one ZIP.

Does splitting reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied without being re-rendered, so they're identical to the original.

Can I split a password-protected PDF?

Not yet. Remove the password first; the tool tells you if a file is protected.
