Pages per sheet
Put 2, 4, 6, 9 or 16 pages on each sheet to print on less paper. Runs on your device, nothing is uploaded.
How to use Pages per sheet
- 01Drop a PDF onto the upload area.
- 02Pick how many pages go on each sheet: 2, 4, 6, 9 or 16.
- 03Choose the reading order, the sheet size and whether each page gets a thin border. The preview shows each sheet.
- 04Click Download PDF and print it like any other file.
Printing lecture slides one per page wastes a ream of paper, and revision notes are easier to carry when four pages fit on one sheet. This tool lays several pages out on each sheet before you print, so any printer can do it, even one whose driver has no pages-per-sheet option.
The sheet is turned to whichever way gives the biggest pages: two portrait pages go side by side on a landscape sheet, while four or nine sit in a grid on a portrait one. Pages are placed as vectors with pdf-lib, so the text is as sharp as the original, just smaller, and it all happens in your browser without uploading the file.
Across, then down reads like a book: left to right along each row. Down, then across fills each column first, which some people prefer for slides.
Questions
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The sheets are built inside your browser tab and nothing is sent to a server.
Will the text still be readable?
It stays perfectly sharp because pages are placed as vectors, not images. At 9 or 16 per sheet it gets small, which suits slides better than dense text.
Can I use it for booklets?
This places pages in reading order on each sheet. Booklet printing, which reorders pages for folding, is a different layout.
Which way round does the sheet go?
Whichever way makes the pages largest. 2 and 6 per sheet usually come out landscape, 4, 9 and 16 portrait.
