How to use Passport photo sheet

  1. Drop a passport-style photo onto the upload area.
  2. Pick the size of one photo, such as 35×45 mm or 2×2 in, and the print DPI.
  3. Set the gap between copies and turn on cut lines if you want them.
  4. Check the sheet preview, then click Download sheet to print it at a photo shop or at home.

Photo printers charge per sheet, not per photo, so it's cheaper to fill a standard 4×6 inch print with as many copies of one passport photo as will fit than to print each one separately. This tool crops your photo to the physical size you need, then tiles it across the sheet automatically.

The gap between copies leaves room to cut them apart cleanly — the dashed lines mark exactly where. Reduce the gap toward zero if you'd rather pack in the maximum number of copies and don't need much room to cut, or increase it if you're cutting by hand and want more margin for error.

300 DPI is standard photo-print quality; use 600 only if your printer specifically calls for it — it doesn't change the physical sheet size, just how many pixels go into it.

Questions

Why does it say only a few copies fit for a 2×2in photo?

Two 2-inch photos already span the full 4-inch width of the sheet, so a nonzero gap between them literally doesn't fit — reduce the gap toward 0mm if you want two columns instead of one.

Can I use a photo I haven't cropped yet?

Yes — crop it to the right shape right here before tiling; you don't need to prepare it in another tool first.

Why 4×6 inches specifically?

It's the standard size ordered at virtually every photo printing counter and kiosk, and the one most "passport photo sheet" print options assume.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. The crop and tiling happen entirely on a canvas in your browser — the file never leaves your device.
