Crop image

Drag to crop, or type exact coordinates.

How to use Crop image

  1. Drop your image onto the upload area.
  2. Pick an aspect ratio or crop freely, then drag the crop box into place. You can also type exact pixel values.
  3. Choose an output format under Save as.
  4. Click Crop & download.

Drag any of the four corner handles to resize the selection, or drag inside it to move the whole thing. If you need an exact region — a passport photo spec, a banner at a specific pixel size — the four number fields underneath take precise left, top, width and height values instead of eyeballing it.

The aspect-ratio presets constrain the selection to a shape (square, 4:3, 16:9) and centre it, which is the fastest way to get a specific proportion without doing the maths yourself. Free-form dragging has no constraint at all.

Cropping happens entirely in your browser the moment you click Crop & download — nothing is uploaded first.

Questions

Can I type exact pixel coordinates instead of dragging?

Yes — the Left, Top, Width and Height fields under the image accept exact values and update the selection immediately.

What format does the cropped image download as?

By default, the same format as the original. Use the Save as buttons to force JPG, PNG or WebP instead.

Does cropping lose quality?

No — the selected region's pixels are copied out directly. Re-encoding to JPG applies JPG's own compression, same as any JPG export, but nothing is resized or resampled.

Can I crop more than one photo?

Drop in a new photo any time to replace the one you're working on and crop it the same way — each one is downloaded individually.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. The crop is drawn and encoded entirely in your browser — the file never leaves your device.
